Donate to the FOL

Donations are gratefully accepted at the Main Library and must be in good condition. Please ensure all donations are in boxes before being placed on the conveyor belt through the small door on the southwest corner of the library off Bethune St. (faces Shoppers Drug Mart)

We accept donations at the Main Library on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

These items are accepted for donation:

  • Fiction 
  • Non-fiction 
  • Large print 
  • Audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs
  • Magazines

NOTE: We take books in all languages.

These items cannot be accepted for donation:

  • Damaged or mildewed materials or materials with a strong odour
  • Books marked up in ink, highlighter, pencil
  • Encyclopedias or other multi-volume sets
  • Textbooks older than 5 years
  • Periodicals
  • Reader's Digest condensed books
  • VHS or cassette tapes
