What you can borrow
You can borrow the following types of items through our Interlibrary Loan Service.

Books - regular print and Large Print

Audiobooks for people with visual impairment

Articles from newspapers, magazines, and journals (there will be a printing charge for hard copies; digital scans are available at no charge)
Please note: Items published within the past two (2) years are not available for Interlibrary Loan.
Borrowing Ontario Archives Microfilm
In order to borrow microfilm, you will need to fill out a request form for our technical services staff. Desk staff can help you fill out the form.

Request a title

Requests are limited to two (2) items per month.

You can request a title online.

We will look to fill your Interlibrary Loan request from another library within Ontario.

We cannot place an Interlibrary Loan request for any title we currently have in our catalogue.
- There is a tutorial in our learning portal to help you use the Interlibrary Loan system, or you can ask staff to help walk you through the process.
Fees and fines
Most items are available free of charge.

You will have 7 days to pick up your Interlibrary Loan item once it arrives. There is a $7 charge if you do not pick up your item in 7 days.

Overdue fines are $1 per day.

Photocopying fees apply for printing articles from newspapers, magazines, and journals.

The original lending library determines charges for lost or damaged items.
