Whether you want to borrow items for your private book club or join one of ours, we can help you find something to read and discuss. All our book clubs are currently meeting online. Our staff are more than happy to help you with eBooks, using Zoom, or with reserving our book club kits for your private group. Explore new books, authors, and genres as you complete our Reading Challenge. Read or listen to one book from 12 categories before the clock strikes midnight on December 31.

Adult Book Club

Join us for our monthly librarian-led book discussion. Please register a month in advance for either the afternoon or evening Zoom meeting. All registrants will receive an email confirmation and Zoom meeting details.

Registrants will have the option to reserve a print copy of the next Book Club title. You can also access digital copies through hoopla or cloudLibrary, as available. Titles will be announced throughout the year.

The Library requires proof of vaccination for in-person Adult Book Club sessions.

When: Tuesday afternoons, 2:00 to 3:00 pm Where: Zoom

Ages: 18+

Tween Book Club

Each month we will meet virtually for some laughs and fun discussions around our monthly book club title. This program is a great way to get your Tween reading and talking about books! 

When: One Thursday each month, from 7 to 8 pm

Kids Book Club

The Kids Book Club will meet each month in the Story Corner to craft together, play games and share thoughts about our favourite books, genres, authors, and, of course, a few laughs!

When: One Thursday each month, from 6 to 7 pm
Where: Story Corner (COVID permitting)
Ages: 5 to 8 years

  • January 13: Minecraft - This program is full. Registrants have been notified about how this program has been adapted to respond to COVID-19 provincial protective measures.
  • March 17: Register for Fractured Fairy Tales starting Tuesday, February 1 at 10 am

Book Club in a Bag

You can borrow multiple copies of the same title for your book club. Each Book Club in a Bag contains 10 copies of the same book that you may borrow for up to 7 weeks. We have over 70 titles available in the Book Club in a Bag kits.

Visit KitKeeper to see what's available and to make a reservation. We do need 72 hours notice, and it's best to reserve in advance to be sure to get the titles you prefer.
