Every year in February, during Black History Month, we celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians. While we can't host any activities in person this year, here are a few ways you can celebrate Black History Month:

  3. Join our Adult Book Club and take part in our discussion of Tayari Jones' book An American Marriage on February 23
  4. Read a book related to Black History Month/Black Lives Matter for our 2021 Reading Challenge for Adults - and join our private Facebook group to connect with other readers.
  5. Test your history knowledge with a Black History in Canada quiz from the Canadian Encyclopedia website
  6. View the Black History Month Proclamation & Launch Event held on January 31 by the Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough
