Our year-long Reading Challenge will help you expand your reading choices and have meaningful conversations about books with a community of readers. We challenge you to read or listen to one book from 12 categories before the clock strikes midnight on December 31, 2021.

Join our private Facebook group to connect with other readers, share the books you're reading, and hear what other members are reading as you all complete the 12 challenges. Library staff will post suggestions throughout the year in this group and upload the occasional video book chat. You can also find challenge recommendations in our staff blog, Shelf Talk.

You can track your reading in a favourite app or use the checkout history in your library account
