The Friends of the Peterborough Public Library will host their Fall Book Sale on Friday, Sept. 27 from 12:00 noon until 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10:00 am to 3 pm at the Peterborough Public Library. Many of the titles, with the exception of our collectible and rare books, are priced around $1.00/book.

You will find a large selection of Fiction, dating from 2008 through to current bestsellers, Mysteries which are displayed separately and contain the works of many well-known authors and Canadian Fiction and Non-Fiction titles as well.

The Children’s section has books suitable for toddlers to young adults and includes resources for parents, grandparents, and teachers.

For those searching for famous works of literature, there are many well-known and obscure titles available. In the Board Room are housed collectible books and rare editions, dating back to the early twentieth century where many treasures can be found.

In addition, a wide-ranging selection of CDs and DVDs will be available at the sale.

If you need any help at the sale, look for the people in the green shirts and don’t forget to bring you reusable bags to carry all your books.

The Friends are a volunteer group who collect and sort donated books from the community and sell them at selected times during the year. Since our inception, we have donated approximately $700,000.00 to the Peterborough Public Library for the purchase of books and the funding of special programs and events.
