  • Members can borrow up to 5 instant titles per month with their library card. Borrowing limits reset on the first day of each month.
  • Members can borrow 5 flex titles per library card at a given time. Returning a flex title allows you to borrow a new one. 

Library Tip: We recommend you try to borrow as early in the morning as possible, since our Daily Lending Budget Limit resets at midnight.

Get started on a computer

On your first visit you will need to create an account by clicking on the Get Started Today button.

  1. Access hoopla on your computer
  2. Enter your Email, and create a password 8-40 characters long, then click Agree
  3. Once logged in, click on the cog in the top right corner and select Library from the menu bar to connect your account to your library card
  4. Start typing Peterborough Public Library in the space provided and select our library from the drop-down list
  5. Enter your library card number and PIN and click Save.

Get started on a device

  1. Download the app:

  2. Open the app and log in. If you have not created an account, tap Sign Up 
  3. Enter Peterborough Public Library (ON) or select it from a list.
  4.  Enter your 14 digit library card number (without spaces), PIN, email address and select a password.
  5. Click the box to allow Hoopla to verify and exchange your Hoopla registration information with PPL and click next.
  6. Select Sign up.
