Who Are We?Library Foundation Donate through Canada Helps button

The Foundation is a registered charity that was started in 1995 to help raise funds for the Peterborough Public Library. It is governed by a Board of Directors made up of passionate community volunteers.

The Foundation provides funding each year for projects that are identified as priorities by library staff. We focus on innovative programs and other important activities for which no other source of funding is available.

Why Donate to the Library?

The Peterborough Public Library is a busy community space where people of all ages gather to attend programs, pick up interesting reads and meet with friends. It's also a virtual space where visitors can do research, search the library catalogue and download audio and eBooks. Information, equipment, services and facilities must constantly be updated to keep pace with new users and new materials.

Tax dollars alone cannot do it - this is where your donation will help!

Your gift, big or small, makes a difference. Many donations commemorate a special event, or honour a special person. The Foundation can work with you to establish which type of donation best suits your needs. You can contact us either by email  or phone 705-745-5382 ext 2301.
